"I'd been on a few missions trips with my church before I came to serve as a summer missionary in Beaufort, but never one that had any comparison to this.  By serving in Beaufort, I learned so much more about the importance of truly ministering to people.  Giving them all you have, right then...your care, your time, your love, and most importantly Christ.  I have never been apart of a more missional-minded ministry.

 By diving into the culture and embracing the people, I got a new perspective on missions in general by beginning to truly see the Great Commission coming to life.  The importance missions has always been something that blarred in my mind, but before I was more focused on what I could do out there, in the world, at that certain time, in some other country.  By serving this community, I became able to see that missions is right here, down the street, right now!  People need Christ throughout the world, but now I'm able to more fully grasp the idea that He is needed everywhere!"
