Housing Options:                                 Running W Ranch ($8/night/person), area churches, area motels

Cost:                                                      $25/person Ministry Fee includes t-shirt, ID badge, devotional journal, and pin.

 

 

Principle Function:  To use day camping and sports with at risk children and families to teach biblical truths and lifestyle skills, to train in Christian discipleship, and to introduce them to a relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

Ministry Description

The day camp at Bethlehem Baptist Church is a structured children's program.  The camp consists of Bible teaching, crafts, recreation, sports teaching, sportsmanship, and music.  The camp is open to children 2 -18 years of age.  Daily

 attendance averages 80 children.  Normally, the day camp program is conducted with children grades 6 and under and the sports camp is held at a local park near the church and is for 6th grade and up.  The separation of the two groups makes for a calmer atmosphere and much easier relationship building. 

 

Performances – Groups have been successful at returning in the evening to do revival/creative art performances.  Space is limited, but these have been successful.

Saturday:

Sunday:  

12:00 am                Worship at Bethlehem or other local church (To be decided at Orientation)

3:00 pm                 Orientation at Bethlehem Baptist Church

Monday - Friday    

9:15                Begin picking up kids

12:00                Lunch

1:15                Begin returning kids to homes

2:00                Leave for home

                6:00                 Return to Bethlehem for evening ministry or provide Kid’s Clubs in area multi-housing locations.
