Place of Service:                  Hilton Head Island, Beaufort, and Jasper County, South Carolina

Term of Service:                  June 4 - August 4, 2007

Dates of Commitment:      10 Days During the summer

Orientation:                          TBA

Training:                                Saturday, May 19, 2007

 

Principle Function:  To learn about missions and ministry by serving for 10 days beside LCM summer staff.

 

Sponsoring Ministry

The purpose of LowCountry Ministries (LCM) is to facilitate volunteers of all ages to express the love of God and the care of the churches to the people who live, play, work and visit in Beaufort and Jasper counties, South Carolina.  LCM is a ministry of the Savannah River Baptist Association (SRBA) of churches. 

Cross Follower ministries can include:  Creative art performances, children's activities in malls (face painting/balloon twisting, day camp ministry, campground ministry, sports and recreation camps, and Mission Venture

Personal Characteristics

1.       A Christian student who is actively involved in a local church.

2.       There is no ethnic or gender preference.

3.       Student must have completed 8th grade.

4.       Mature student.

5.       A willingness to learn

 

Ministry Skills:                 Skills will be taught.  An attitude of service and a willingness to try are essential.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

1.       Work along side LCM summer staff to provide chosen ministry.

2.       Commit to at least 10 days of ministry and follow through.

3.      Attend orientation and training events.
