Mission Team Information and Schedule

 

Place of Service:                                  Ridgeland and Hardeeville, South Carolina

Term of Service:                                 1 week (Saturday to Saturday)

Summer Weeks:                                 June 7 – August 7, 2004

Pre-project Orientation:                    March 19-20, 2004

Housing:                                                Savannah River Baptist Associational Office ($3/person/night), hotels, Running W Retreat Center

Cost:                                                       $25/person Ministry Fee includes t-shirt, ID badge, devotional journal, and pin.

 

Principle Function:                To use kid’s clubs, sports camps, and construction work to impact individuals and communities with Christ’s Love.

 

Principle Ministries:

Ministry Teams will work throughout Jasper County using one or more of the following ministry tools. 

Kid's Clubs are designed for pre-Christian (non-churched) children.  They include music, games, crafts, Bible stories and lessons, recreation and refreshments.  Possible locations will be apartment complexes, backyards, and churches.

Sports Clinics are designed to use sports and recreation games to teach fundamentals of sportsmanship, life, and faith.  Camps are geared toward pre-Christian children 5 - 12 years old.  Possible locations include schools, the Boys and Girls Club, local churches. 

Construction work rehabilitates homes in the Jasper County area.  Local construction coordinator will supervise construction and supplies will be provided through local grant.

Schedule

Saturday:

11:00 am                Participate in local church worship service

3:00 pm                 Canvass community
