Mission teams are vital to the work of LCM. LCM provides two different ways for mission teams to minister in the lowcountry. For more information and to see specific ministry projects, click on the titles below.

Mission Trips

Mission trips are church-sponsored Christian service projects designed to move participants of all ages outside their comfort zones to experience spiritual growth. Mission Trip teams are responsible for providing their own housing and food. Mission Trip Teams arrive on Saturday and leave the next Saturday.

Mission Venture

Mission Venture is an all inclusive mission experience for church youth groups. Mission Venture will allow youth who have completed grades 7-12 to minister during the day and experience challenging worship and Bible studies at night.

Mission Team Insurance

All group participants should carry personal health insurance. Churches are encouraged to examine their policies to insure coverage of mission experience.

Pre-Project Leader Orientation and Training

Leaders of all mission trip and Mission Venture teams are required to attend a pre-project orientation. These training days will be invaluable for learning about the ministries, seeing the sites and asking questions.

Mission Trip Orientation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007 to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at St. Helena Baptist Church.

Mission Venture Orientation will be held from 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Running W. Retreat Center.
