Base of Service: Beaufort, South Carolina
Term of Service: May 29 - August 4, 2007
Local Orientation: May 29- June 1, 2007(Required for all staff)
Day Off: Saturday
Number of volunteers needed: Team I -1 Summer missionaries, 2 sojourners, 2 innovators
Team II - 2 Summer Missionary, 1 sojourner, 2 innovators
Principle Function:
Sponsoring Ministry
The purpose of LowCountry Ministries (LCM) is to facilitate volunteers of all ages to express the love of God and the care of the churches to the people who live, play, work and visit in Beaufort and Jasper counties, South Carolina. LCM is a ministry of the Savannah River Baptist Association (SRBA) of churches.
Student volunteer ministries will include: providing a week long day camp at a different multi-housing location in Beaufort and Jasper Counties each week or the summer in addition to leading worship in a variety of settings.

Personal Characteristics
1. Christian student who is actively involved in a local church
2. There is no ethnic or gender preference.
3. A love and commitment to children and their families
4. Mature student who is able to handle supervisory roles and get along with others
5. Self starter who is able to lead ministries
6. A willingness to learn
7. Driver's license with own transportation if possible
Ministry Skills: A love for working with children and families; Worship leadership ability; drama, singing and/or instrumental ability (optional), strong relational skills, pastoral care, and evangelism.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan, direct, and lead Day Camps.
2. Minister to mission team participants
3. Assist in leading Mission Venture and other worship services.
4. Assist in other ministries of LCM or SRBA.
